ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING

Artificial intelligence and machine learning are part of computer science that corresponds with each other. These technologies are the most trending technologies which are used for creating intelligent systems.

These are two similar technologies that are why people use them interchangeably. But, both are two different terms in various instances.

Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence refers to computer systems built to imitate human intelligence or the mind and perform different tasks. It is comprised of two words “Artificial” and “intelligence”, which means “a human-made logical power.”

Artificial intelligence does not need to be programmed. Instead, they use such algorithms that can work with their own intelligence. It involves machine learning algorithms, such as reinforcement learning and deep learning algorithms.

AI can be classified into three types:

• Narrow AI

• General AI

• Superintelligence AI

Machine learning

Machine learning is a subset of artificial intelligence, which enables machines to automatically learn from experiences without being explicitly programmed. It enables a computer system to make predictions and take decisions using historical data without being explicitly programmed.

Machine learning works by exploring a massive amount of structured and semi-structured data, identifying patterns and it involves no or minimal effort from humans. It works on an algorithm that learns on its own using historical data. Machine learning is being used in various places, such as for online recommender systems, Google search, Email spam filters, real-time ads,.

It is divided into three types:

• Supervised learning

• Reinforcement learning

• Unsupervised learning

Difference Between Artificial intelligence(AI) and Machine Learning (ML):
